Series U009 reduced pressure zone assembly backflow preventer is designed to prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. They have a bronze body construction with a unique swivel union, two in-line independently operating check valves, a removable stainless-steel relief valve with captured springs and replaceable seat discs, four ball valve test cocks, and an air gap drain fitting. Their compact and space-saving design facilitates easy assembly and maintenance access. They are ideal for protection at health hazard cross-connections or for containment at the service line entrance. Check with local water authorities for installation requirements. Maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar).
